I'm writing a BLOG!

Out of the lurking and into the blogging.
I don't even know what to say.
I've been reading blogs for a long time, loads of them.

Parenting blogs, crafting blogs, and the lastly blogs about alternative lifestyles.

I'm sure everyone starts somewhere.
You search out something, and it leads to something else.

I feel odd commenting on blogs.

Most of the time I just sit and read, laugh, and agree with a lot of things people write about.

But how do I have my own? and where does it belong?

One Amazon book search a few years ago and there I was finding people, then authors, then BLOGS.

Blogs about something that is a somewhat hidden subject in my house.

So where does that leave me for blogging?

I have a need to write, a need for a place to fit in, but I don't.

Until I found these blogs.

So I did what most of you call lurking and found that we are not so different then many people blogging.

I know everyone has their own way, style and calls it so many different things I see.

So what do I want to use the blog for and or talk about?

I don't know if I want my blog to be on the same subject matter for every blog, but seeing as having a "ttwd" sort of relationship, it's going to come up.

Can you imagine regular mommy bloggers stumbling upon one of those posts?

Sounds hilarious!

Anyways - here is my about me.
I think there is another place for this though on the main page. I'll have to transfer it there.

I'm not using my real name of course, it will just be my nick name I guess.
Effie or E-fee. How the heck do you write how to say something? Sounds sort of like Eve - ie

Anyways now I need a name for my husband. I know lots of mommy writers use DH, but I never liked that one!

I'll have to think of something later.

So, here we are, married about 18 years, kids, crazy lifestyles and oh yeh, my husband is a what you call a "Spanko" so to speak.

Well, there it is! Typed out and all.

For me, I'm on the other end right now. I'm feeling like I've lost my groove somehow, so maybe blogging will help me sort my head?

I seem to be rambling quite a bit, so I'll stop here for now.

I have so many things to think or write about it but it seems my time today has been cut short.

I must figure out how to make the blog nicer looking. Hoping to google some blogger helps or designs features.

  1. Welcome Effie!
It's a big step going from lurker to commentor to blogger! But so glad that you did it!

What you wrote: "I have a need to write, a need for a place to fit in, but I don't.
Until I found these blogs." - is absolutely true. And it's a wonderful truth. Most of us find clarity when we write - I never kept a journal or diary before but this has been more helpful to me than I even realized it could be.

And the wonderful new friends here who know exactly what you are feeling and processing are such a blessing to have. We click with each other right away because even though we are for the most part anonymous, we feel safe to be ourselves in a way that we can't be in our everyday lives. And just that, brings comfort and encouragement, not to mention all the wonderful supportive comments that you will be receiving along the way.

I enjoyed setting up my blog - so if you have any questions email me at calimom516@gmail.com - and I'd love to chat with you further - or you could just google blog backgrounds and see there are several websites that have them available for free. :).

Again - so glad that you are here!

    hugs,
    Cali
